Contest Season ... Are You Prepared?
Written by Jerry Keast, LGET Thursday, 27 August 2009 19:04
Speech contests are an important part of Toastmasters International education programs.
Speech contests provide an opportunity for speakers to improve their speaking abilities, to recognize the best as encouragement to all, to learn by observing the more proficient speakers who have benefited from their Toastmasters training, and provide interesting educational programs for the member and public.
It's important that all contests be conducted professionally, fairly and consistent with the Toastmasters International Policy and Rules.
Clubs are encouraged to conduct contests and promote attendance of members and guests.
The area, division, and district contest dates are both available online with the District 66 calendar and is available for download. (contest schedule last updated: October 6, 2009)
Questions should be referred to Jerry Keast, Lt. Governor Education and Training.
The current division winners are now posted online.
