2011-2012 Realignment & District Election Results:

At the annual Business Meeting on April 30, 2011, the District 66 Council approved (by a vote of 100-28) the District 66 Realignment for 2011-2012 with five Divisions to better serve the member clubs (with the following realignments relative to the current Division breakouts).

Division A (Western Division) Elect – Kathy Reynolds, ACG, ALB

Division B (Central – North James River) Elect – Linda S. Kennedy, ACB, ALB

Division C (Central – South James River) Elect – Claude Stevens, DTM

Division D (Eastern – Peninsula – Williamsburg, Newport News, Hampton, Suffolk, Portsmouth & Chesapeake) Elect – Andrea Morgan, DTM

Division E (Eastern – Southside – Norfolk & Virginia Beach) Elect – Eureka F. Collins, CC, ALB

The Alignment Committee concluded and the District Council supported by their votes that the timing for realignment was essential to increase service to clubs, offer increased leadership opportunities for our members, and better posture the District for continued success.

The newly elected Division Governors will join the following elected Officers to serve the proud tradition of District 66 leaders.

District Governor - Elect – A. Alan Tuten, DTM

Lt. Governor Education & Training - Elect – Daphne Hill, ACS, CL

Lt. Governor Marketing – Elect – Pete Moyer, ACS, CL

Treasurer – Elect – Ian Henry, ATMG

The support and service of each member within our District is valuable, essential to our continued success and much appreciated.

As such, I challenge each of us to “Model - “Living the Toastmasters Promise” in all we do and success will be assured and each individual and this District will be better served by that model.
