Are you on target?

April 20, 2010

Whether you are in business situations or doing volunteer work with an organization, productivity in your team produces exceptional service. As Toastmasters, we are given tools to help us along the way. The challenge comes in finding those crucial elements of competitiveness to keep your team productive each year. Have you examined your overall productivity for the year?

Where did spend your time this past year? What did you do at home, at work; leisurely, socially and spiritu-ally. Were your dreams and goals fulfilled so far for the year? If it’s less than 95%, maybe you want to ex-amine what worked and what did not work.

From the Central Division Governor

Every person has different reasons for joining Toastmaster’s. The reasons can vary from person to person. We want to keep each Toastmaster wanting more and self motivated to learn new skills at every meeting, contest, and conference. We are challenged to create a Club environment in which people are motivated to work on the DCP priorities. Quality and variety can be the key for making District 66 clubs successful this year.

What is your motivational center? How do you stay motivated as a Toastmaster? Well the answer is a simple one. Your club’s success and your individual success depend on your definition of what and what values you hold for yourself. Your personal goals can be as simple as one sentence or a whole page.

Success can be accomplished in 2010 for our District 66. We only need to focus, learn from our past, and put our ideas and plans to work. Make it happen. We have our framework for significant success. We just need to put them into action.
